AHFS Summer Shield Shampoo
A purpose-formulated summer shampoo developed with the itchy, summer-sensitive horse in mind.
AHFS Summer Shield Shampoo is more than simply a shampoo for removing dirt and sweat. It combines effective cleansing with carefully selected botanical oils and conditioning ingredients to support the skin and coat during the challenging summer months.
The formulation contains Neem Oil, Black Cumin Seed Oil and Lemon Eucalyptus Oil, together with Aloe Vera, D-Panthenol, Glycerine and Vitamin E for additional skin and coat care.
Neem has been scientifically investigated for its repellent and antifeedant properties against various insects, including Culicoides biting midges. Summer Shield incorporates these carefully selected ingredients as part of a practical summer grooming routine for horses particularly prone to seasonal itching and irritation.

Important – Please Note the Consistency
Summer Shield Shampoo has a deliberately thinner, more fluid consistency than many traditional horse shampoos.
Do not mistake its thinner consistency for a diluted or weaker product. The formulation contains several botanical oils and specialised ingredients, and our priority was the functional formulation rather than producing an artificially thick, luxurious texture.
Because the shampoo is more fluid, dispense carefully and use sparingly. A little goes a long way.
Directions for Use
Wet the horse thoroughly. Apply a small amount of Summer Shield Shampoo and massage gently through the wet coat and into the areas requiring particular attention. Allow brief contact before rinsing thoroughly with clean water.
Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. For external use only.
