Our story
Founded by Margie van Zyl in August 2019 when she was struggling to find affordable natural products for her own horse, AHFS (African Horse Fly Spray) is a small family business.
We are passionate about producing affordable products that all equine and canine owners can afford!
Our biggest reward is helping animals achieve optimal health.
We put the emphasis on quality and affordability, no fancy packaging – just quality and affordability.
Most of our products are hand made, packed and labeled at our small warehouse at home.
Our passion isn’t only helping animals, but employing ambitious staff who want to learn about business and business skills.
The Team
We would love to introduce ourselves and family staff:
Margie is the owner and is in charge of all admin duties.
Margie started her riding career at the age of 3, successfully running Glenforest Equestrian Centre in Limpopo in the 90’s, competing professionally up to Adult C grade. With her Honours degree in Finance, she is able to get best priced products sourced from all over the world!
Ulrich is co-owner, factory manager, and in charge of deliveries.
With his strong determined attitude, he is able to ensure that the warehouse runs at full capacity at all times, and deliveries are done on time
Danielle (fondly known as Dani) is AHFS co-owner, and joined our team in 2020. She is successfully running her own company in Henley-on-Klip that stocks the AHFS product range.
In our factory, warehouse & AHFS shop we have a very successful team: Aleseja, Paul ,Thea, Mirriam, Enock and Meaghan.
Without all of them, AHFS would not exist!
