Nutritional Insect-Season Support for Horses

DIY Skedaddle Mix 2 is our garlic-containing option for horse owners who prefer a traditional botanical approach during fly and insect season.

The formula combines Garlic Granules, Brewers Yeast, Neem, Peppermint, Turmeric and Black Pepper.

Each ingredient is supplied separately, allowing you to combine the DIY mix yourself at home.

INGREDIENTS

Brewers Yeast – 500 g
A natural source of B vitamins, amino acids and other nutrients and traditionally included in feed-through insect-season formulations.

Neem Powder – 300 g
A botanical ingredient traditionally used in natural insect-management programmes.

Peppermint – 100 g
An aromatic herb included as part of the botanical combination.

Turmeric – 100 g
Provides naturally occurring curcuminoids and complements the other botanical ingredients in the formulation.

Garlic Granules – 100 g
Garlic has traditionally been included in feed-through insect-season supplements. We have deliberately kept the amount of garlic in Mix 2 conservative rather than using the much larger quantities sometimes fed to horses.

Black Pepper – 10 g
Included alongside turmeric as part of the overall formulation.

WHY CHOOSE MIX 2?

Mix 2 is designed for owners who want garlic included in their horse’s insect-season nutritional programme.

We have combined a relatively small amount of Garlic Granules with Brewers Yeast and selected botanical ingredients rather than making garlic the dominant ingredient in the formulation.

DIY Skedaddle should form part of a complete insect-management programme alongside external fly sprays, protective rugs where required, stable hygiene, manure management and environmental insect management.

Important: Garlic contains naturally occurring organosulfur compounds, and excessive or prolonged intake of garlic has been associated with red blood cell changes and anaemia in horses. Do not feed additional garlic-containing supplements alongside Mix 2 without considering the horse’s total garlic intake.

DIY Skedaddle Mix 2 is a complementary nutritional feed supplement and is not intended to treat, prevent or cure disease.

Introduce gradually into the horse’s normal feed. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
